The best of intentions...

Well, obviously, the whole blogging every week, with picking a winner of a gift certificate went out the window, or doggy door, within the first few weeks of January. I had no idea how busy the beginning of the year was going to be. I am going to revise the and come up with a new plan coming up soon,and will keep everyone updated.

Lots going on. Valentines Day proved to be busy, busy, busy at Shaggy Chic with the addition of our adorable ear flap hats.

We are still selling these like crazy in all colors.

Now for some fun!. My little granddaughter, Zoe, 7, had a Daddy and Daughter Dance at her school last night, and the theme was The 50's. Daddy Ryan, (and my nomination for best son-in-law ever) and Zoe, dressed for the event, and headed of for "the hop!"

Mommy, Kami, of course was banned from going, so was left home to wait for their return, and hoping for more pictures. I have not had a report yet today, but hope they had a "blast from the past" and Zoe has lots of memories to keep forever of a fun date with her daddy! Zoe obviously is the apple of her Daddy's eye :>!

Shaggy Chic is going to be at Amazing Pet Expo in Phoenix on April 28th, and we have lots and lots to do to get ready before then. If anyone is in the Phoenix area and can make it, please come by, and find up an say hello. and we will have something special for you. As soon as we have our booth space assigned to us, we will post here.

Oh, almost forgot! BIG NEWS! We just had our first item sell last week on Tophatter.com, No surprise, it was one of our ear flap hats. We have another item coming up on Feb. 29 during the next Pet Auction at 9 a.m. PT. Come by, check it out, and bid on our brown sock monkey hat. If you have never been to Tophatter.com before, there are plenty of simple instructions, plus you get $5.00 to spend on your first purchase.

That is all updated for now. Have to get orders filled and start stockpiling for the show in April. Will try to make an entry at least once a week, :].

Shaggy Chic in the News!

Had a surprising message today. Around the first of the month I posted a message on a Facebook page, something to do with knitting, that was asking about New Years Resolutions. I said I was resolving to start my knitting for next Christmas now because I was so overwhelmed this past Christmas with having nothing stock, I didn't want to go through that again! Apparently, that was picked up and incorporated into a news article,

Pretty awesome, with link to Shaggy Chic on Etsy! Okay, need to keep it short again today, Lots of knitting to catch up on, get going on. It never ends. Need to get some pretty pictures on here ASAP, too :( !

Tuesday Gone Wild!

Late getting to blog again today. Been crazy day running all over. Had to wrap and take Christmas presents in huge boxes to post office - er, that is a long story! Also, had to take one of the suitcase dog beds in a box to post office and get quote for shipping it to Australia for a customer...whew, it's not pretty. Then had to go to yarn shop to get wool yarn in Valentine's Day colors to start on hats and sweaters. Have lots of projects to get done and ship, get on Etsy, etc. etc. Never seems to be enough time.

So, I am thinking, Thursdays might be a good day of the week for a Featured Shop Day. Of course, too late for this week, so will start next week. Probably will take requests on Monday, give me some time to put something together.

Going to keep this short tonight. Have lots to do tonight. Will get an early start tomorrow.

Chihuahua Generated Number Randomizer

Getting a late start today, normally this will be done early in the morning,but family off for holiday today, and then there was that dang Rose Parade!

Okay, so now you are going to come and read the blog, check out what is new at Shaggy Chic, leave some comments. You will be put in a drawing every time you do; also decided to add anyone who makes a purchase during that week, too.

At the end of the week, all the names will be put on leetle-teeny pieces of paper (probably post it notes) and sealed up then a number put on each one. A dog cookie will have a leetle-teeny number put on it with something, cake frosting or ?, for each paper, and tossed on the floor, random order, hence, the word "Randomizer." Then will let one of the Chihuahuas in and the first cookie they pick up, that number is the winner! Now, could not get any more random than that. (The rest of the cookies? Will then release the rest of the hounds in to scarf those up!) Oh yes, and plan to video tape and post on YouTube to keep it all honest and above board, so you will be able to view it to ensure there was no cookie tampering or Chihuahua baiting going on.

Make sure to check in daily, we need lots of cookies on the floor :>.

Tomorrow, let's get down to blog business. I will lay out weekly schedule of what to expect on what days..

There will be a Shop Feature Day, and the day before will take the first person with a shop who leaves me a note saying they want to be it! Etsy, ArtFire, Ebay, your own website, etc. as long as it is family friendly, does not have to be pet related....
A Know the Code Day with a new something% off code for Shaggy Chic for that day, so if you have your eye on something, that is a day to check in for a good deal.
Of course, probably early Sunday morning will be CGNR Day, so you will want to see if you are lucky winner (there will also be a new heading on website which will keep track of weekly winners for the year, and you will be e.mailed if you won.) and video will be posted on YouTube (I hope!)
and such as.... as ideas come to me...

New Year, New Start!

After trying a few other places for website and blog that I was not happy with, I decided to revise this one, and start 2012 off with a bang. Also, just will never find what I am looking for, or get "anyone" to do what I want who has the time, so.... here we are.

Lots of things happing at Shaggy the last part of 2011. For those of you who didn't know, I gave up the fame and fortune of medical transcription for good in August, and threw myself into this full time. It has been nonstop hilarity since then, through the holiday season!! I picked the right time of year to do it, unfortunately, also decided to not have ANY stock built up at the time and have almost had a hysterical breakdown trying to fill orders. Filing that under:Teachable Moments - Starting to work on 2012 Christmas Projects Already.

Now for the fun stuff. I will be having weekly drawings here on the ol' blog for CA$H BUCK$ spendable at Shaggy Chic! Simple rules, just come to aforementioned BLOG (U R there) daily and see what is happening, leave a message, a mark, something to indicate you were here, and you are entered for that day. Do it every day, you get entered every day! At end of week, I will have Chihuahua Generated Randomizer (much more scientific than Computer Generated Randomizer) draw winning name, and that person gets $5.00 credit at Shaggy Chic, which they can use right away, or save up - just need to use by end of 2012. You might win bunches of times and be able to get one of our 'spensive suitcase beds free! SEE, SO EASY A CAVEMAN COULD DO IT!
